Internships
Around the Corner Production
January- May 2022
Through my internship, I had many opportunities to be a camera operator. I ran the camera for men's and women's basketball. For women's basketball, I was the first woman in three years to run a shoulder camera through the entire game. My footage would be used on the UNI Panthers sports talk YouTube channel when talking with the coaches or players after the game. I also ran a camera for women's softball. Additionally, I had the opportunity to work with VGM and run a camera for a live show they were hosting on April 21, 2022. The adjacent photo shows the different types of cameras I with which I have worked. I also had the opportunity to help UNI athletics in taking footage during tennis matches. As a way to diversify my experience, I arranged an interview video of someone sharing about their relationship.
Around the Corner Productions Continued
August 2022- Present
I have continued to work for Around the Corner Productions this time as a freelance worker while I work two other part-time jobs. I have done volleyball, football, both men and women's basketball
UNI Athletics
August - December 2021
During my time working for the UNI athletics, I had the ability to take photos and videos for the football and volleyball teams. I was able to create highlight reels with my footage to be used on their social media sites after they were victorious. Here is one of my favorite photos. If you would like to see more, please check out my photography or videography pages.
Waterloo Bucks
June - August 2022
During my time working for the Waterloo Bucks, I had the ability to run multiple cameras for a live baseball game. I learned patience when a game seems to drag on as the team is not excelling. I have also learned to stay calm during intense situations of the game as the director is stressed with uncertainty of which play will happen.
